  • Thank You, Whats Next?

Well the 2nd Annual Cycleccino (we can now call it annual!)  Charity Sportive was held on Sunday July 24th 2016, the ride had a lot to live up to after 2015, I think it more than managed that.  Riders began to arrive at a crisp yet sunny Easton Park at 0730hrs on the dot to register.  The coffee machine in the shop was soon churning out Espresso's and riders doing whatever they do nervously, be it chat, pace, or use the ablutions.    Shortly after 8am, the first batch of eager riders set off, on their 30, 60, or 100...

  • #Onyerbike #Savealife

Portland, Chesil Beach, Abbottsbury, Hardy's Monument, Goulds, The County Town of Dorchester, Cerne Abbas and its Giant, Dewlish, Milton Abbas, Bulbarrow, Bovington, Lulworth, Chalky, Weymouth, its Esplanade and the harbour side. What have all these things got in common?  Were they part of Beechings railway station closures?  Do they appear in Broachurch?  Not quite, but if you cycle passed or through them as part of the Cycleccino Sportive/Charity Bike Ride, you will be helping to save lives.  I recce'd the 100mile route today, unfortunately not by bike. I had to take many notes en-route and was driven by my ever-suffering wife...

A Happy New Year, albeit belated to all Cycleccino's friends, customers (you're friends too,) and followers (who are also our friends.)Why do I choose to write this blog now?  I think because I have had time to reflect upon 2015, and a few personal changes.  I almost wrote a very quick precis of 2015 and popped it on Social Media on New Years Day, but felt there was more, or less to be said. So, 2015, a blur.  I think the main talking point for me, was Lexi, and our Sportive.  The wonderful people who took part in our Sportive (whether...

  • Doping?

To dope or not to dope?  What an awful question. In another week of bad press for world cycling, in which we hear the old excuse "Well 90% of the field was doing it."We also hear about the rise of MAMILs (Middle Aged Men in Lycra) who are also turning to the 90's performance enhancer of choice, EPO.Well here at Cycleccino, we dont wholy rule out a little bit of doping, but none of this namby pamby doctor prescribed stuff, and nothing illegal too.
